Tornado alarm! Pacers charter flight forced to land in Tulsa, delayed arrival in Oscar due to weather

On June 4, according to ESPN, the Pacers postponed their arrival in Oklahoma City to participate in the NBA Finals due to weather reasons. Previously, the Pacers also posted the scenes of the players boarding the plane.

reported that on Tuesday afternoon local time, weather forecasters issued tornado warnings, flood warnings and strong thunderstorms to Oklahoma City and most surrounding areas, while the Pacers' chartered flight was in the air. The flight was forced to land in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and refueled, and the team planned to arrive in Oklahoma City later Tuesday. Flights at Oklahoma City Airport were interrupted by heavy rains and heavy winds. The Pacers and Thunder are scheduled to attend the NBA Finals Media Day event on June 5 at the Pecom Center, which will host Game 1 of the Finals on June 6.

On Tuesday afternoon local time, at least one tornado was found near the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman, Oklahoma. It is not clear whether the tornado landed or caused any damage. Norman is about 20 miles south of Oklahoma City. The Oklahoman reported that the Oklahoma City metropolitan area has issued multiple tornado warnings.
