Stockton: NBA s current style is weak; they are all jumpers, players love load management; their salary is still high

August 14th, Jazz legend John Stockton recently made a remark on the "The MaverickApproach" podcast, saying that the NBA has become "softer" today and criticized the universality of load management.

Stockton believes that today's stars can take 20 days off, which makes him question the impact of this approach on the competitive spirit of the league, saying: "I think the game is really softer now. Players can take 20 days off, which is called load management. They love to say 'I'm going to take a few weeks off'."

"These players do this, and they are considered role models, and the league allows it. The salary is ridiculously high. The style of the game is that these kids are very talented and they can shoot. Because they can shoot, everyone thinks they should shoot more. In this way, there are fewer tactics and fewer physical confrontations. People want to see fighters, they want to see you fight, and they want to see you do things they can't do, rather than shaking hands, hugging and jumping there," Stockton added.

Stockton was selected as the All-Star ten times in Salt Lake City, and his No. 12 jersey was retired by the team. In his 19-year career with the Jazz, he has played in a total of 1,504 regular season games and missed only 22 games.
