Lakers General Manager: Tyro and Anunobi are highly similar, we are full of expectations for his future

In this year's NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers completed two consecutive trades. They first gave out the 55th draw and cash in the second round, and exchanged the 45th draw from the Chicago Bulls. They then completed a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and they sent the second round 45th draw and cash they just obtained to the Timberwolves, and exchanged the second round 36 draw from the Timberwolves. In the end, the Lakers used this second round to select Adou Thiero, a senior three player from the University of Arkansas. After the draft, Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka talked about the similarities between Tyro and New York Knicks forward star OG Anunoby in a show. Pelinka said: OG-Anunobi is already recognized as the top striker in the league. Of course, we don’t want to impose pressure on the newcomer to hope that he will become the next one. But in my opinion, Adu does have the potential to become a player of the same type. He has a standard forward figure of 6-foot-7 inches (about 2-meter 01), his explosive power is quite amazing, his shooting ability is also continuing to improve, his empty cutting awareness is excellent, and he has all the hardware conditions to become an elite defender on the defensive end.

Pellinka continued: A few weeks ago, my team's head coach JJ Redick and I specially invited him to visit the team. Through lunch together, we learned about the child's character in depth, which plays a crucial role in draft considerations. Tyro is a down-to-earth young man who always maintains his desire to learn and grow. What our player development team is best at is cultivating such players, which makes us look forward to future cooperation. Next we also traded upwards in the draft and finally picked him successfully.

Tiro was born in May 2004 and is 20 years old. According to data from the previous joint trial physical test, Tiro's bare feet were 198.8cm, his wingspan was 213.4cm, his standing height was 265.4cm, and his weight was 99.1kg. In this year's NCAA, Tyro, who transferred from the University of Kentucky to the University of Arkansas, made a total of 27 appearances, averaging 27.5 minutes per game, averaging 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds (1.8 frontcourt rebounds), 1.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.7 blocks, and 1.7 turnovers and 2.6 fouls. He shot 54.5% from the field (5.1/9.4), 25.6% from three-pointers (0.4/1.6), and 68.6% from free throws (4.4/6.5). Tyro is a player with outstanding defensive capabilities. He can provide comprehensive defensive support and has the ability to grow into an excellent defender, but Tyro's performance on the offensive end is also not very stable. The most important thing is that Tyro's stability in outside shooting is not very ideal, which will also affect his prospects in the team to a certain extent. I don’t know what kind of performance Tyro will perform with the Lakers next season.
