We will investigate and punish these violent incidents and will never tolerate them."

According to Reuters, on the morning of June 1, the French Ministry of Interior's preliminary assessment stated that a total of 559 people were arrested, of which 491 were in Paris. Paris police chief Laurent Nunes told reporters that a fatal accident occurred in Paris, in which a young man in his 20s collided with a vehicle and died; according to French media reports, a 17-year-old man died of stabbing in the southwestern city of Dax. On the Champs-Elysées in Paris, the bus shelter was smashed, the riot police were attacked by throwing objects, and the riot police were forced to fire tear gas and disperse the influx of people with water guns. The French Ministry of Interior reported on June 1 that more than 200 cars were burned down and about 22 members of the security force and seven firefighters were injured.

Macron said: "The violent conflict that occurred was unacceptable and caused a heavy price: two people died, about 30 policemen and several firefighters were injured." He added: "My heart is also with the policeman of Kudance, who is currently in a coma." Kudance is a small town in western France where a policeman was hit by fireworks in the eye.

Paris Saint-Germain said on June 1: "These behaviors violate the club's values ​​and do not represent the wishes of the vast majority of our fans."
