Ferdinand reveals: Amorin wants to clear 50% of Manchester United s players and needs at least two transfer windows

Manchester United legend Leo Ferdinand believes that Ruben Amorin wants to clear half of the team's lineup. The Portuguese head coach took over the Red Devils in November last year and has gone through a difficult period so far.

This Premier League giant has been working hard to adapt to Amorin's 3-4-3 system. Manchester United currently ranks 16th in the league standings, although they have reached the Europa League final.

Ferdinand insisted on his podcast "Leo Presentation" that the Portuguese needs at least two transfer windows to form a team that suits his tactics. "I think he (Amorin) looks around the locker room and thinks, 'If I can swing the magic wand, at least half of the players on this team will not stay here for the next five years'. Because they are not great enough and are not suitable for the way he wants to play." He continued, "I looked at him and thought that he needed at least two good transfer windows to clean up the players he didn't need, and bring in the players he really needed." Ferdinand added that his old club should target the dynamic players, not the mavericks.

Ferdinand said: "In order to achieve a huge transformation, we have to do a lot of things well. He is guiding the team to understand his requirements, but it also leads to their continued poor results in the Premier League."

He concluded: "He needs to bring in dynamic players. I don't want those mavericks, or those who are flashy and show off. No, no, those who can break through and surpass opponents."

Manchester United will challenge Chelsea at Stamford Bridge away in the Premier League on May 16.

Have Manchester United decided on the future of Ruben Amorin?

According to the Guardian, even if Manchester United fails to win the UEFA Cup, they have no plans to fire Ruben Amorin. The Red Devils will play the UEFA Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur on May 21 at the San Mames Stadium.

Amolin's future has attracted attention after poor performance, especially after poor performance in the league. Since the arrival of the Portuguese tactician, Manchester United has won only six of their 25 league games.

In these games, they scored only 30 goals and failed to score in 10 of 25 games. However, Ineus is willing to continue to trust Amorin and may support him in the summer.
