Stephen Curry responds to retirement

Stephen Curry, one of the greatest players in history, may be about to end his brilliant NBA career.

At the press conference of the US Century Championship, the Golden State Warriors responded to their retirement plan for the first time: "I don't know when to retire. I only think about two years each time. That's the time left on my contract now. I'm willing to play at least two more seasons."

The four-time NBA champion has accumulated more than $410 million in career income. Curry signed a four-year, $210 million contract in 2021, and then he recently renewed a one-year, $62 million contract in August 2024. The deal brings his contract to the 2026-27 NBA season. His father, Dale Curry, was also recently asked how long he thinks Stephen can play. "I think he's 40, because he can shoot, so you have to defend him," Dale said. "He's going to create space for other players on the court, so I think that decision is entirely up to him."

Although the Warriors star hasn't considered retirement yet, he seems to have started thinking about his life after his basketball career is over. Curry said in an interview with CNBC: He may enter the broadcast industry and own an NBA team like Michael Jordan, or even go to professional golf. When asked about the ownership of the team, he said that just like the achievements of the Warriors in his career, "He will be a member of the ownership member, allowing him to influence how the team should operate, just like the Warriors did, this is the goal I have always pursued."

For Curry, it has come to the end of his career. Curry, 37, admitted that he needs to face the reality of his decline in form, but the league generally believes that his shooting ability is enough to support his age 40, of course physical fitness and injuries are his biggest problems. The last thing to pay attention to is when the Warriors will complete the lineup adjustment. The Warriors' lineup adjustment in the offseason has not made substantial progress. Many intentional goals have been frequently exposed, but the signing or deal has not been completed. Can the Warriors in the new season maintain their possibility of going further?

Curry said in the sharing that it was the right decision for him "What I was thinking is the right opportunity for me because I wanted to give it all the way, no matter what I did," he said although we still have at least two years
