Official: Former Kings coach Mike Brown serves as the new head coach of the Knicks

Brown became the new head coach of the Knicks after being fired by the Sacramento Kings midway through the 2024-25 season. Although Brown led the Kings back to the playoffs for the first time since 2006 and won the coach of the year, he failed to lead the team to the playoffs again the following year, and was fired after a start of just 13-18 last season.
According to previous reports from SNY TV reporter Ian Begley, Brown will sign a four-year contract with the Knicks with a total value of $40 million.
Brown won four championships with the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs. He coached under Cole and Greg Popovich, and has coached many superstars in the NBA for 30 years.
