James: I will support Team USA for life, but I am unlikely to participate in the 28th Los Angeles Olympics

June 17, News Recently, Lakers forward James accepted an exclusive interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

You won the gold medal again in 2012, and chose to rest in 2016 and 2020, and Team USA still won the gold medal in the past two years. You competed again at the 2024 Paris Olympics and won the gold medal. Then you say that it is unlikely to participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. Any updates to this?

James: "Nothing has changed. We're in 2025 now, right? (laughs) No, nothing has changed. I mean, if I think about it now, I'd say, I'll support Team USA for life—that's for sure. But as for whether I'll continue playing on the court, I don't think it's possible. I've given everything I have and I'll be eternally grateful, loyal and committed to the U.S. national team and American basketball cause."
