Does anyone still remember Austin Crohill? A badly-born insider all-rounder.

Austin Crosher, Austin Crosher, 6-foot-9 (206cm), plays as Power Forward (PF). He was born in Los Angeles, California, USA in May 1975. He was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 12th pick in the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft. He played for five teams: Pacers (1997-2006), Mavericks (now known as Mavericks) (2006-2007), Warriors (2007-2008), Bucks (2008-2009), and Spurs (2009).

As a comprehensive striker, Austin Crohill has a strong position adaptability and can even play a guest center. He has good skills at the basket, has a mid- and long-range shooting ability, and has a certain level of three-point shooting, especially his free throws are very stable. His career free throw shooting percentage is as high as 85.9%, making him a typical inside all-rounder. However, his athletic ability is insufficient, his footwork is relatively slow, and his defensive coverage is small. Especially in that era of muscle jungle, Crohill's confrontation ability is indeed average, and his passing ability is weak, so he is unable to handle the support work well. However, with his technical characteristics, if he was in the small ball era, he would definitely be an inside player with an annual salary of more than 20 million yuan, but unfortunately he was born at the wrong time.

In his 12-season NBA career, Austin Crohill played 659 games in the regular season, including 88 starts, averaging 17.4 minutes per game, scoring 6.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.3 blocks. In the playoffs, they played 68 games, starting in 6 games, averaging 18.2 minutes per game, scoring 6.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.4 steals, and blocks.

Austin Crohill spent most of his career at the Indiana Pacers, and although he was just a small figure in the age of the muscle jungle, he also had bright highlights. On April 15, 2005, local time in the US, in the Indiana Pacers' home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Austin Crohill started for 25 minutes, scored 5 points, 1 assist and 1 steal, and captured the highest 15 rebounds in a single game in the NBA career. On November 25, 2005, in the Indiana Pacers' loss to the Atlanta Hawks at 85:87 at home, Austin Crohill started for 41 minutes, scoring a double-double with 10 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked, with 15 rebounds tying the NBA career's best single game.

On January 30, 2007, in the Dallas Mavericks (now known as the Dallas Mavericks) defeated the Seattle Supersonics (now known as the Oklahoma City Thunder) 122:102 at home, Austin Crohill played for 24 minutes on the bench, made 11 of 14 shots (of which 7 of 10 shots), and made all 5 free throws, scoring the highest single-game 34 points in NBA career, plus 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

On January 26, 2009, after the 10-day short contract with the Spurs, Austin Crohill did not receive a contract offer and officially announced his retirement. After retiring, Austin Crohill transformed into a basketball commentator and continued his love for basketball in another capacity.
