Areso is 26 years old and is a Spanish local player. He was selected for the Spanish U19 team and mainly plays in the right back position. In the 24-25 season, Areso made 40 appearances for Osasuna and had 4 assists. His contract with Osasuna expires next summer.

Although Bilbao and Crystal Palace are also interested in Areso, Areso has met with Osasuna's management this Friday to inform the other party that he hopes to join Atletico Madrid.
