Hupu News November 09: Wolfsburg of the Bundesliga officially announced that head coach Paul Simonis will be relieved of his duties with immediate effect. The club officially made the decision on Sunday evening local time to end the 40-year-old Dutch coach's tenure. Also leaving with him are assistant coaches Peter van der Veen, Tristan Berghuis and Martin Darneviel.

In terms of succession arrangements, the club confirmed that U19 coach Daniel Bauer will temporarily take over the first team coaching position. Sports General Manager Peter Christiansen emphasized in a statement that the decision to dismiss was extremely difficult, but the team's recent results have not met expectations and action must be taken to restore stability and competitiveness.

Christiansen said: "Jimenis is a rigorous and passionate coach, and we have great respect for his way of working and relationship with the team. But football ultimately depends on results and points. The developments in recent weeks have not been in line with our expectations, so we agreed that now is the time to make changes."

Ball briefly served as the team's interim coach last year and led Wolfsburg to one win and one draw in the last two games of the season. During this transition period, he will gain trust again, and his assistant team includes U19 assistant Julian Klamt and U17 coach Tobias Holm. In addition, goalkeeper coach Pascal Formann and physical fitness director Christian Clarup will continue to stay on.

Christiansen said: "We believe that Ball can lead the team out of the difficult period and bring back positive momentum."

The newly formed coaching staff will lead the team for training for the first time at 12 noon local time on Monday. Currently, a total of 13 players on the team are participating in international competitions with their respective national teams.
