TA: Leipzig wants to introduce Elliott, has contacted Liverpool

TheAthletic reported on July 1 that Leipzig is one of the clubs that intend to introduce Elliott, and Liverpool valued the midfielder from £40 million (with a buyback clause) to £50 million (no buyback clause). Leipzig believes that the 22-year-old can directly replace Xavi Simmons, who may leave the German club in the last few weeks of the transfer window.

Eliott only started for Liverpool in two Premier League games in the 2024-25 season, both of which happened after Slott's team had already secured the championship.
