June 11th According to the World Sports News, citing Western media El Correo de Andalucía, Chiesa is considering transferring to Betis and trying to revive his career. His career has been severely affected since a torn cruciate ligament in January 2022, especially after a transfer to Liverpool last summer.
Last summer, Chiesa Jr. transferred from Juventus to Liverpool, with a transfer fee of 12 million euros fixed fee plus a floating clause of 3 million euros, and the contract lasts four years until June 2028. Juventus paid more than €40 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2022, fulfilling the purchase agreement reached with Florence two years ago, although Chiesa Jr. was out of office for nine months in January 2022 due to a torn cruciate ligament on her left knee.
In the 2022-23 season, Chiesa Jr. made 33 appearances for Juventus, scoring 4 goals and contributing 6 assists. In the 2023-24 season, he made 36 appearances, scored 10 goals and had 3 assists. In his last full season before his injury, he made 46 appearances for Juventus and scored 15 goals and contributed 11 assists.
However, in the just-concluded season, Chiesa Jr. played only 466 minutes at Liverpool, spread across 14 games, scoring 2 goals and contributing 2 assists. Chiesa Jr. hopes to leave Liverpool and see Betis as an ideal destination for a restart of his career, especially if Betis fails to successfully renew Anthony, who is in talks with Manchester United.
