Barcelona official: B team goalkeeper Astralaga joins Granada on loan, with a loan period of one season

June 30 Barcelona officially announced that B team goalkeeper Astralaga will join Granada on loan for one season.

Astralaga, 21, joined Barcelona from Bilbao youth training camp in the summer of 2018. In the 2021-22 season, Astralaga played for Barcelona B for the first time, and he helped the team defeat Betis 2-1 in his debut.

Since then, Astralaga has rotated between the B and the first team. In the 2022-23 season, he played 3 games in total, and in the 2023-24 season, he played 16 games in total, and in the 2024-25 season, he played 18 games. So far, he has played 38 games for Barcelona B.

Astralaga has been a regular on the roster of head coach Flick, and although he has not made a formal appearance, he has gained a chance in the preseason. He has participated in pre-season friendly matches with the team and made an informal debut against Manchester City. Now, he will join Granada on loan, seeking more time and stable performance to continue to improve his abilities.
