Southampton official: Signing German midfielder Yande from Nuremberg, with a four-year contract

The 22-year-old midfielder played for Dortmund and Schalke 04 youth teams before completing his first-team debut at the age of 18. After playing for Germany C for three years, he transferred to Germany Second Division Nuremberg last season.

Yander started 32 games in 34 league games, contributing 3 goals and 9 assists. As a German U21 international, he also played against England in this summer's European Youth Championship and won the runner-up with the team. Johannes Spors, Technical Director of the Club Group, said: "Yanter is a comprehensive midfielder who has attracted a lot of attention, including Premier League clubs.
