The Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards' spoof made the Lakers worse.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards continues to tease the Lakers after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in Wednesday night's series.

Edwards played strong in the series against the Lakers, with LeBron James and Luka Doncic as the core, eliminating the pair after five games. He averaged 26.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He shot 42% from the field, with 33.3% from three-pointers and 77.4% from free throws.

This was a huge success for him and the Timberwolves. As many analysts predict that the Lakers would win the series, they once thought they were the underrated side. Edwards talked about this after his Game 5 win and posted on social media to remind Lakers fans not to mind the mockery.

"Ant-Man, Batman, Superman... Timberwolves are here 🖐🏼. The new episode will come out tomorrow, Jack," Edwards said.

Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves' next plan

Anthony Edwards takes an important step in leading the Timberwolves to one of the best players in the league. His outstanding performance in the first round of the series against the Lakers is a good example.

He also received strong support from other players. Julius Randle devoted his career-best playoff series, Rudy Gobert performed well in Game 5, while Jaden McDaniels played consistently throughout the series. Their performance is crucial for the team to go further in the playoffs.

Minnesota Timberwolves are looking forward to returning to the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive year and proving to the world that under Edwards, they can succeed. They will face challenges as their opponents’ rosters can limit their performance, but as long as Edwards can stand up, the Timberwolves will continue to pose a threat to any opponents that are blocking them. The Timberwolves will rest for a while until they find their next opponent in the Western Conference semifinals. They will play against the No. 2-seed Houston Rockets or No. 7-seed Golden State Warriors, who currently leads the series 3-2. The sixth game between the two teams will be held at 9 p.m. ET on May 2. If Game 7 is played, it will be held on May 4.
