The offensive ability is quite limited! It doesn’t seem easy for the Lakers’ substitute center to stay in the team?

In the previous NBA Summer League California Classic game, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 89-84, achieving a good start in the summer league.

In this game, the performance of Lakers' starting center Trey Jemison was obviously not ideal. Jamison played 19 minutes and 58 seconds in the whole game, but did not complete one shot during the period, did not score 1 point, and only contributed 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. He also had 1 turnover and 3 fouls, with a plus-minus value of -7. Jamison has no way to provide any help and support to the team on the offensive end. He lacks basic scoring ability, and he has no way to complete any scoring. Jamison does have certain ability to protect the basket and defend the inside line on the defensive end, but he also has obvious shortcomings in moving speed. Jamison's effect on the court can be said to be very unsatisfactory, and it has dragged down the team's performance to a certain extent on both offense and defense. As a player with NBA experience, this performance seems a bit bad. From any perspective, he should have done better.

Jemisson was born in November 1999 and is 25 years old, 211cm tall and weighs 107kg. He is the undraft in the 2023 NBA Draft. Jamison played for the Washington Wizards and the Memphis Grizzlies in his rookie season, but he still couldn't gain a foothold. Jamison first played for the New Orleans Pelicans last season, but was cut shortly after the season began. Jamison joined the Lakers in a two-way contract in the middle of last season. After joining the team, Jamison made a total of 22 appearances in the NBA regular season, averaging 10.3 minutes per game, with averaging 2.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.1 steals and 0.4 blocks, and 0.6 turnovers and 1.9 fouls, with a shooting percentage of 61.9% and a free throw percentage of 41.7%. Since Jamison held a two-way contract, he was not eligible to appear in the playoffs.

Jamison actually needs to win the trust of the Lakers coaching staff and hold this two-way contract through his performance in the summer league. As a result, Jamison played such a bad performance in the first summer league game, which was a great disappointment. Jamison should have played his value on both offense and defense in this level of game, but he seems to be a little worse in his personal abilities. I don’t know what kind of performance Jamison will perform next. If he cannot adjust his form in time and perform at a higher level in the next game, it may not be easy to keep this two-way contract.
