On July 13, in the NBA Summer League, the Spurs defeated the Mavericks 76-69. Second-tier Dylan Harper made his summer league debut, scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds.
Dylan Harper's playing time was limited due to a groin injury, but he performed well in his debut. He played for 20 minutes, scored 16 points on 5 of 12 shots and grabbed 6 rebounds, and also had 2 assists and 2 steals and blocks, but he also received 5 fouls.
David Phil Jones Garcia once again became the highlight of the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 21 points on 8 of 15 shots. Another first-round pick, Carter Bryant, contributed 2 points and 2 rebounds, made 4 turnovers and 4 fouls, but he performed well on the defensive end.
