Jabbar: James deserves to be the leader in history
1:11am, 5 August 2025【Basketball】
NBA legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar recently participated in the Jennifer Hudson Show show, and during which he talked about Lakers forward LeBron James breaking his record and becoming the NBA's historical scoring champion.
"LeBron deserves it," said Jabbar. "He has worked hard for 20 years. I mean, this honor belongs to him. I play not to pursue records, but to help the team win the championship. Fortunately, I have stood in the championship team six times, and I have won the (finals) MVP twice, and I am satisfied with it."
"You can't have everything, the meaning of the record is to be broken, and LeBron deserves it. I hope he enjoys this honor and can achieve what he wants during his career and after retirement. His career is legendary, and he has achieved extraordinary achievements both on and off the court. Off the court, he sponsors students in the entire school district to go to school; on the court, he has been invincible for 20 years. Therefore, he deserves it, and I wish him all the glory." Jabbar said.
