Backcourt Star: The Lakers are the best team. As long as they perform well, the outside world will not question it.

Los Angeles Lakers backcourt star Austin Reaves and the team's new forward player Jack LaRavia talked about his feelings as a Lakers player while participating in a podcast.

In this regard, Reeves admitted: I play for the best team in the entire basketball world, which is definitely a very proud thing, but as a Lakers player, I also need to bear some additional pressure here that other players cannot experience. You will experience all kinds of things here and hear different discussions. Everyone will also have much more discussion and attention to Lakers players than other teams. But overall, if I’m happy with my performance every night, I set a higher standard for myself and strive to play better in the next game. So, if I am satisfied with myself, then as Laravia said before, I really won’t care about the outside world’s voices, because you don’t have to care about these things at all. Although there is greater pressure from the outside world, if your performance can satisfy them, the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction you will also gain more than when playing on other teams.

In the NBA regular season last season, Reeves played 73 games in 82 games, averaging 34.9 minutes per game, averaging 20.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.3 blocks, and 2.4 turnovers and 2.1 fouls, with a shooting percentage of 46%, a three-point shooting percentage of 37.7%, and a free throw shooting percentage of 87.7%. In the playoffs, Reeves played 5 games in total, with averaging 39.3 minutes per game, averaging 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks. He also had 2.8 turnovers and 3.6 fouls. His shooting percentage was 41.1%, three-point shooting percentage was 31.9%, and his free throw shooting percentage was 85.7%.

Reeves' overall performance last season was pretty good. His role in the regular season was very obvious. Although Reeves kept shuttled between the number one and number two positions due to adjustments and changes in team personnel and tactics, he was able to complete his tasks well whether in the number one position or in the number two position, whether playing with the ball or playing without the ball. However, in the playoffs, Reeves' performance was actually a bit average, but he actually did not fully display his strength, which largely led to the team's elimination in the first round of the playoffs. I don’t know if Reeves can show enough competitiveness and help the team attack higher honors in the new season.
