World Sports: Barcelona has not submitted a completion certificate for Camp Nou, and may have to play in Montphic for a few more months

August 22, The World Sports reported that the Barcelona city government is increasingly convinced that Barcelona may need to temporarily return to the Montevec Stadium.

In the day after the World Sports disclosed that the club had signed an agreement to use the Montevec Stadium until the end of February, Barcelona Deputy Mayor Albert Batre said on RAC1 radio this Thursday: "The Montevec Stadium is likely to need to be opened for several more months."

In this regard, Bartre appreciated Barcelona's response measures. Although the team needs to face Valencia for the first home game of the new season on September 14, the Montevec venue will not be available at that time because the Post Malone concert will be held on the 12th. "It is wise and prudent to start thinking about alternatives, after all, there is no need to rush to achieve success. Fortunately, Barcelona has an alternative venue." Regarding the progress of the project, Batre emphasized that the Barcelona club has not submitted a certificate of completion, which is a prerequisite for applying for the first opening of the license. Barcelona is clear about what procedures should be implemented, the construction party needs to issue a completion certification, and the municipal government’s inspection team needs to complete the assessment. But the responsibility is currently entirely on Barcelona's side, and they must meet all the conditions.

Batre made it clear that there will be no release without sufficient guarantees: "We should not put pressure on the construction period, but should make every effort to ensure the safety of open conditions, and must be foolproof."
