June 25th, former Liverpool player Larana announced his retirement, ending his 19-year career.

Larana Farewell Letter

When I announced the end of my playing career, I felt unspeakable gratitude and pride.

I really can't repay the opportunities and support I have obtained along the way.

In such a journey, you owe too many people and too many people - I cannot list the names one by one, but please understand that my gratitude is beyond words. Without you, I would never have been able to reach this day.

Recalling that all this began in 1999 in the last century, when I signed the youth training contract, I still feel incredible. Since completing my professional debut in 2006, I know how lucky I am to realize the dreams that millions of people have.

Southampton...This is the starting point of everything and it is appropriately the end point. This club ended up giving me all.

Liverpool... gives me the opportunity to represent one of the greatest clubs in the world and win the most noble honors of the sport.

Brighton...carries the happiest years of my life, a club connected to the blood of the community and operates in a smart and modern way.

and England... Every national team baseball cap is as heavy as me. Representing the motherland is the supreme glory.

I am proud of the player career I have gone through and have no regrets about all choices. Whether it is the peak or the trough, I accept it calmly because they have shaped me today.

To all those who make this journey so special: staff of every club and organization, coaches and coaches, teammates who play side by side, and of course the fans - thank you.

But most importantly, dedicated to my exclusive team...my family. Wife Emily, our wonderful sons, my mother, father and sister, thank you for being with me and always standing in my corner to support me.

I am full of expectations for a new chapter that will unfold in the future.
