Hupu, October 10th: The Sun's London area reporters Charlie Wyett and Jack Rosser wrote an exclusive weekly report on Arsenal.

Arsenal’s matchday revenue is set to increase significantly next season.

The club is negotiating a new deal with a company that will provide Arsenal with catering services around the stadium and is expected to increase revenue by at least £500,000 per game. It is worth noting that when the club first moved to the Emirates Stadium in 2006, Arsenal's catering franchise was sold to a company called Delaware North on a 20-year contract.

This long-term contract, which will expire next summer, seemed like a good choice at the time. The club was financially strapped due to debt incurred in building the stadium.

Arsenal had previously attempted to terminate its contract with Delaware North through a buyout, which claims to be a "global leader in hotel and foodservice management."

Sources revealed that the company is one of four companies trying to obtain new contracts to provide catering services to Arsenal fans.

But the structure of the deal may be different, which also allows Arsenal to work with other catering suppliers to make more profits.

In its latest financial statement released in February, Arsenal announced the club's record revenue of 616.6 million pounds. Total revenue for the 2023-24 season is £132m, generated from matchday revenue including ticket sales, hospitality, merchandise and on-site food and beverage consumption.

As the Champions League reaches the semi-finals and the number of games at the Emirates Stadium increases, the next set of numbers will be higher.

Arsenal are already in discussions with the Rwanda Tourism Board to renew their sponsorship agreement. The current deal is worth £10m per season but could increase.
