Hupu, October 31st News Barcelona goalkeeper Szczesny interacted with fans through the club’s official social media and answered their questions.

You look very calm on the court. How do you feel when netizens compare you to a capybara, the most calm and calm animal in the world? Do you know what a capybara is?

Who compared me to a capybara? Although I have never heard this metaphor, I am indeed quite calm and have almost no emotions on the court. Unfortunately, I block out negative emotions as well as positive ones, but... I will be very focused on the game in front of me. I discovered early in my career that emotions did nothing for me.

So, I try not to get entangled in emotional things. For example, after the El Clasico a few days ago, everyone was arguing and conflicting. I thought to myself: "Okay, I lost the game, let's move on." This mentality can really help me perform better. Whether in football or in life, if someone feels that they are easily emotionally disturbed, I especially recommend meditation and breathing exercises. This allows you to focus more on the present moment and not be swayed by your emotions.

Do you have any meditation tips to share with us?

I don’t know where to start. I do breathing exercises before every game and at halftime, not really meditation. People sometimes look at me weird because I'm doing it in the middle of the locker room, but I don't even care.

Sometimes someone wants to high-five me while I'm practicing, so I just focus on my breathing. I also particularly recommend practicing breathing in extreme situations, such as extremely hot or cold weather. Try conscious breathing in a cold environment, the effect will be good.

What do you think of Marcus Rashford’s performance at Barcelona this season?

He is a great player and I like him very much. His style of play is very direct and he has been involved in many goals. I think he's a very complete player. When he was emerging in the Premier League at the age of 18 or 19, I felt there was something special about him. But I think he still has more scoring potential that he hasn't realized yet. When he's in good shape in training, he's simply unbeatable. If he can show more of that "magic" in the game, he will become very threatening. We saw it against Newcastle when he suddenly fired a shot from distance. All in all, he is a talented young man.

Quick Questions and Answers

The first question: What is your hidden talent?

Well... I think my singing is not terrible. But this talent still needs to remain hidden. After all, it is a "hidden talent", so you have to hide it well.

Second question: What was your favorite moment in the game?

The final whistle - provided we win. To be honest, if you win the game, the moment the final whistle sounds, that sense of relief that "we won" is definitely the best moment.

The third question: What are you thinking about when facing a penalty kick?

Analysis done the day before the game. Because sometimes you are not sure who will take the free throw, so first identify the free throw shooter. Then you will think about how this player will play under pressure. In this case, which method he will usually choose to take a penalty kick, etc., and finally make a decision. So it’s actually a quick review of the previous analysis.

Question 4: What’s the best prank you’ve ever done in the locker room?

I don’t actually do pranks, not really. People always think football players prank each other a lot, but that's not the case. The locker room was just a group of young people around 20 to 25 years old having fun together, but it wasn't really that kind of "prank".

Last question: Who is the most famous contact on your phone?

is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Who are the top five generals in history in your opinion?

I'll probably tell you in order. The first is Gigi Buffon, the second is Lev Yashin, the third is Manuel Neuer, and the fourth is Petr Cech at his peak. Then... the fifth choice is myself. Although I don’t really think I can be ranked, but in order to appear in someone’s top five generals list, I choose myself.

To be honest, sometimes when I see other goalkeepers doing this ranking, I get very anxious - "Why put him in the ranking but miss out on that big shot?" So now I'm also afraid that I've forgotten someone.
