“Dear Yup, Looking back on the time we were together, many special memories instantly surged into my heart. You are not just a coach, but also our father. You understand that as players, what is more important is the growth of ordinary people. You have created a team of outstanding on the court and united off the court to lead us in a unique way: always being positive and energetic, always having a keen insight into the needs of the team at any moment. 2013 is an unforgettable year, and we jointly achieved the club's first triple-champion. Of course, we will immediately think of that game, that moment: May 25, Wembley Stadium, 89th minute. Ribery passed the ball with his heel and Robben sent the ball into the goal - Bayern 2-1! That feeling is indescribable. That moment was not just a goal or a final victory, it was the result of a season. At the beginning of the season, everything was perfect: team spirit, passion, passion for the game - most importantly, you know how to prepare us well and build us into a team that is very tacit and skillful, and that's what makes us different. That's not the only time you show your strength. When you returned in 2017, many people were wondering: Can this work? But we know you are the best person. At that time, Bayern was 5 points behind Dortmund - this was an unfamiliar situation. But with you on the sidelines, everything quickly becomes clear: we'll be back. You gave us stability and let us understand what we had to do. Ultimately, we won the league by an overwhelming margin in Round 29, like you simply pressed a switch. We will never forget: you are always willing to listen—whether about football or off the field. We can be honest, open our hearts, and even express dissatisfaction. The next day, we were able to train together again. Your human nature makes us stand out – not only as a player, but also as an individual. Your trust makes us stronger and gives us freedom and upholds the principle of clearness. Discipline, respect, unity - this is not empty words, but vivid values. Everyone in the locker room knows who you stand with. Because of this, we always support you. Nowadays, when we watch young players, we often think: What can they learn from a coach like you? Maybe a lot. Not only how to win, but also how to lead the team and communicate with people. You are never noisy, but you always have clear ideas. You are never strong, but you are always there. This is perhaps the biggest compliment to a coach. We are grateful for the encounter along the way, and the common experiences will keep us together for life. Sometimes when I think back to that time, I feel like I can smell Wembley again - just before the kickoff, full of expectations. That feeling has been lingering in my heart. Youp, you are an accomplished coach and most importantly, shaping us. We have experienced too much together, both on and off the court. So, we wish you a happy 80th birthday – most importantly, good health, happiness and more good times with your family.
