Hupu, October 31st: The French Professional Football League officially announced that Strasbourg player Ismael Doucoure was sent off for a tackle on Lyon player Malik Fofana. Fofana was injured in the tackle and will be absent for three months.

On Thursday, the French Professional Football League (LFP) disciplinary committee imposed a four-game ban on Doucoure.

[Rumor board] White Castle defender Doucoure was sent off after a tackle from behind, while Lyon core Fofana left the field with a serious injury.

The Strasbourg defender's fierce tackle caused the Belgian forward to severely sprain his right ankle. He had previously served his first suspension in Strasbourg's 3-0 win over Auxerre on Wednesday. In Ligue 1, he will miss games away to Rennes, home to Lille and away to Lens.

Other red card penalties:

In Metz's first Ligue 1 win against Lens (2-0) on Wednesday, Gautier Hein took off his clothes to celebrate after scoring the second goal and was sent off. He has been suspended for just one game and will miss Sunday's trip to Nantes (5:15pm).

As for Abner Vinicius, he received a red card in Lyon's match against Paris FC (3-3), and his case was "exceptionally" postponed to November 5. His automatic one-match suspension remains in effect until Sunday's (8:45pm) away game at Brest.

In addition, Toulouse's Aaron Donum and Rennes' Abdelhamid Ait Boudelal will miss one game for their respective clubs starting from November 4 due to accumulation of five yellow cards.

This is a new rule regarding suspensions this season. Finally, the Stade Mustoire and Stade Beaujoir have been partially closed due to riots during the matches in Lorient and Nantes respectively.
