According to Burnley official news, the club bought out 22-year-old defender Humphreys.
Humphreys is 22 years old and England defender. He joined Chelsea U18 from Reading U18 in 2019. He has since been loaned to Paderborn, Swansea and other teams.
Last summer window, Burnley signed Humphreys by renting first and then buying. According to reporter Romano, the transaction was a form of loan + forced buyout, a fixed fee of 12 million pounds plus a floating clause of 2.7 million pounds, and an undisclosed second-transfer share.
This season, Humphreys played 25 Championship games for Burnley, contributing 1 goal and 2 assists, helping the team return to the Premier League. Burnley officially announced that Humphreys will join the team permanently after playing on loan for one season.
