June 26 According to the Mirror, Liverpool legend John Barnes' media company is in debt of 1.5 million pounds. The latest liquidation documents show that the former Liverpool winger owes huge taxes and other debts. The football legend has agreed to repay the director's loan in installments and has repaid £60,000.

Barnes' media company entered liquidation process in 2023 due to failure to pay taxes. Last year, Barnes, 61, was banned from serving as a director for three years. Moreover, he was asked by the court to sell a property worth 2 million pounds because of bankruptcy.

Barnes has played 79 games for the England national team in his career. In addition to Liverpool, he also played for Newcastle and Watford. In September 2012, he established a media company and was the only director of the company.
