May 3rd Juventus midfielder Locatelli talked about topics such as Juventus captain's armband and return to the Italian national team in an interview with Sky Sports.

You lost the Italian national team in the European Cup last summer. Are you eager to return to the Italian national team now?

When I was not drafted for the European Cup, I was very disappointed. Now I focus on my work, which is the only thing I can do and the best I have to do. I can't control other things, the national team coach will make choices, I've talked to him, we have a great time talking. I have to always be prepared and returning to the Italian national team is my goal. I congratulate other midfielders who are selected for the national team, who are young and need to grow and have a bright future. But I am also still young, I am only 27 years old. I want to go back to the Italian national team, which is already the idea in my mind.

Juventus currently ranks fourth in the Serie A standings, but the competition is very fierce. If Juventus does not score the top four in Serie A this season, is this a failed season?

This is not a problem we are currently worried about, but will be considered later. I'm very happy with the work we're doing and I think I've grown up in being human. Juventus gave me the captain's armband, which made me feel more responsible and also meant that I had to always be a role model for everyone. I always say that being the captain of Juventus is a job you have to do every day, and I always try to do it. It helped me to have a big season, but ultimately it all depends on the team’s performance.

As a Juventus fan and player, do you have extra pressure?

Indeed, I was under more pressure when I first came here. But now I’m getting more mature and I can keep a calm mind both on and off the court. I can handle all kinds of situations well, but it's even harder for my family because they are all Juventus fans. So my family is under a lot of pressure, but I can handle it, haha.
