Carragher: Arnold prefers to win the Ballon d Or over the Champions League, Liverpool fans boo him

May 13th Carragher said Liverpool fans will be angry when Arnold admits he is more willing to win the Ballon d'Or over the Champions League. The right-back has confirmed that he will leave Anfield after his contract expires this summer.

Carragher said at Sky Sports: "When asked if he wanted to win the Champions League or the Golden Ball, Arnold chose the Golden Ball, and even if he thought so, it was not the right answer for a Liverpool local player. The interests of the club should be the first. This shows that he doesn't care more about the club than about himself. He is a star and an excellent football player, which is why Real Madrid wants him."

"I'm surprised that there are so many people who are dissatisfied. When you're in the 60,000 audience, there's no doubt that many Liverpool fans are dissatisfied with the situation. It's understandable. But for me, I said before the show that there were some booings at Leicester City away, and I don't think any player who wears a red jersey, fights for three points for the team or wins a championship should be booed."
