British media: Liverpool pursues Cesco, Leipzig misses the Champions League & the possibility of players leaving increases

According to the exclusive news of British media "daveocop", Liverpool has a strong interest in Leipzig striker Sesco.

Liverpool have been following Sesco since last year. For the Reds, the pursuit of Sesco will be closely related to Nunez's future. The Uruguayan striker is almost certain to leave Anfield, and both Saudi team and Naples are reportedly interested in him. After the sale of Nunes, Liverpool may purchase a striker, and the transfer fee will be part of the transaction funds.

But Liverpool is not the only team that appreciates Cesco. At least three Premier League clubs are paying attention to Slovenian centers, including teams outside the Premier League, so the Reds will face considerable competition. Sesco's age and good goal record are his attractions. This season he scored 4 goals in the Champions League, 21 goals (45 appearances) in various competitions, plus 6 assists.

Cesco's physical condition and technical ability are well combined. Among the No. 9 players on the market, this is a very scarce quality. Leipzig is believed to have a psychological price of 100 million euros, but it is understood that Leipzig may be willing to accept lower prices due to the harmonious relationship between Sesco and the club's top management. Especially last summer, the two sides "accidentally" renewed their contracts until 2029, and it is expected that there will be room for negotiations with Leipzig in terms of transfer fees. Of course, Cesco also respects Leipzig very much and does not want to disrupt the relationship.

Although Liverpool and Cesco discussed the transfer this summer, Liverpool's attitude is not decisive as they have not yet formally contacted Leipzig. This season is the first time Leipzig has fallen out of the top four in five seasons, and it means that the likelihood of Sesco leaving is increased if he misses the Champions League next season. Leipzig's poor season gives Liverpool a chance to reach a deal with them in the coming weeks.
