On November 14, the Sao Paulo Club officially stated that Oscar suddenly fainted during training and was sent to the cardiology department of the Albert Einstein Hospital. It was diagnosed that what Oscar was experiencing was vasovagal syncope (also known as vasovagal collapse).
The Arab media "Ole Daily" explained that this is an autonomic nervous system reaction that will cause blood pressure and heart rate to drop suddenly, leading to brief fainting. This condition is not a serious structural heart disease, but further evaluation is needed to rule out potential complications.
As for Oscar's career, there is still uncertainty. While the initial diagnosis doesn't mean he needs to retire immediately, it's unclear whether he will be able to return to action.
